Renovation of the Dobrava cemetery
The project deals with renovation of the mourning facility and urbanistic design of the path with entrance to the Dobrava cemetery in Maribor. In the first part of the paper the importance of cemeteries, human perception of death, parting and deceased place in different cultures through time is explained. In the second part a new design idea of Dobrava cemetery in Maribor is presented on grounds of analyses. People perceive death as something horrible, sad; therefore there is a feeling of uneasiness and anxsiety in mourning facility. With the proposal of refurbishing the Dobrava cemetery the paper proposes a solution that could change people's thinking and their feelings when visiting the cemetery.
Archive
The objective for the renovation of the Regional Archive was to improve the space of the reading room,the rooms for screenings, seminars, lectures, and the entrance area with the reception, to work on researching the products of the archive. The materials displayed on the left side; dark wood floors, white colored brick walls, as well as yellow and blue details, but completely white furniture are imagined to be used in the space.
Studio III
The projects main idea was linked to the actual purpose of the building, which is art. The form represents a paint brushes strokes, the turn illustrates the unfication of the left and rigth side of Maribor with the new footbridge. The path in the shape of a turn also leads to the roof of the building, where the main viewpoint is located. In front of the building we desgined an open public space, intended for people to socialize. We placed the large urban equipment here, its form connecting to the form of the building itself and creating landscape.
Sweet place
This represents the development of the idea for a pastry shop. In addition to the architectural appearance it also showcases the packaging design, business cards and the whole appearance of the pastry shop.
